Docking at the awesome Crate Brewery on the Regents Canal in Hackney Wick, the fun boat Alfred Le Roy is the best way to persuade landlubbers to take to the water, i.e. with alcohol, music and bonhomie. When the long, floating barge bar isn’t taking pre-booked voyages around the Lea River with its guests, the ship is stationed at the Crate Brewery, free for all to sample.
Cocktails, big tunes and waterways make the pre-booked two-hour trip worth taking. However, to take it you’ll have to fork over £20 per person for the pleasure, although that does include a cocktail in the price.
