Go underground into a historical tunnel

One of London's best secret places
This must try is connected to: Chislehurst Caves

Here's one to impress your mates with next time you're at the pub - the caves in Chislehurst under the road between Chistlehurst Railway station and the Bickley Arms pub, were once used as a live music venue, where the legendary Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie and Led Zeppelin all performed.

We all know London isn't short of secret places that have quadrupled for different purposes, but these tunnels are pretty spesh. The manmade subterreanean space stretches for 22 miles, and have been around since the 13th century The caves were once used as chalk mines, an ammunition depot in World War I and later as a bomb shelter during the second great war. Hendrix and co played here in the 60s. Today it's a tourist attraction unsurprisingly, as it's pretty much impossible to navigate your way around without a torch and a pair of comfortable walking shoes.
