Built in 1704, the house has all the necessary elements for the most comfortable of lives in the 1700s, including a music room, library, larder, an ice house to preserve food located in a moat, and of course, the servants' quarters. The museum also has artworks and items showing the history of Hampstead, and regular events and exhibitions revolve around the local area.
