Eat at a restaurant and soak up the history of the Docklands

With great views thrown in!

Where: Bokan

The rich history of the Docklands, which includes over a thousand years of trading with ports from around the world, the industrial revolution and the subsequent growth of the capital, has inspired this restaurant and bar at the top of the Novotel Hotel by Canary Wharf with jaw-dropping views over the Thames. "Bokan" is the auld Saxon English for "lighthouse," and they say the menu has "rich European cultural cuisines that have flowed along the Thames since ancient times," which essentially means modern European such as fillet steak, seafood and Josper grilled lamb. More exciting are the jaw-dropping views, as it is located over three floors from the 37th upwards.
