Eat Singaporean bread

It's all about Asian breads

Where: Singapulah & Arôme, 15 Frith St, Soho, London W1D 4RE

A new Singaporean bakery by day and restaurant by night has opened in Soho, proclaimed as the UK's very first site dedicated to baked goods from the East Asian country. In case you're wondering, these include things like doughy buns stuffed with coconut filling, caramelised milk toast and tomato and coriander rolls. All these are served at the 12-seater bakery Arôme throughout the day, and later on the larger, full service Singapulah opens, serving noodle dishes and spicy laksa soup. Following the huge success of the Japanese katsu sando sandwiches, are Asian breads the next big thing in food? Watch this space.
