‘The Lab’ is a brand new event brought to you by the creators of Taste Festivals and AEG. This unique new event offers 3 evenings of unique chef-led experiences designed to engage guests through food preparation, experimentation and flavour profiles.

Guests will be offered an array of interactive experiences, working with some of the world’s gourmet innovators, including Brazilian top chef Alex Atala whose Sao Paulo restaurant D.O.M, is currently fourth best in the world. Lars Williams (Noma’s head of research and development) will host and curate the Noma Flavour Test at The Lab ensuring The Lab will engage guests through interactive, intimate experiences, learning about flavours and enjoying a night out, with dishes to tantalise your taste buds! Challenge the way you think about food as you explore unexpected contrasts of flavour, temperature and texture…expect the unexpected!

The central hub of the event, The AEG Live stage presented by Gizzi Erskine, will host a star studded international bill including D.O.M’s Alex Atala and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal’s Ashley Palmer Watts, who will present alongside world renowned forager Miles Irving. Food experts and chefs will take to the stage to give you an insight into their inspiration behind food.

The AEG Experiment will showcase the creativity and thinking of many of the UK’s top chefs including Bo London’s Alvin Leung, Bubbledog’s James Knappett, Bruno Loubet and Duck & Waffle’s Daniel Doherty, who will educate and demonstrate the skills and science behind being a better cook.

An interactive Mixology Lab and the experimental cocktail bar to encourage an interactive environment and hands on DIY cocktail feature.

Lars Williams (Noma’s head of research and development) will host and curate the Noma Flavour Test, holding tutorials and master classes hosting food experts and producers of unusual or forgotten ingredients with surprise collaborations on the night!

Presented by Joe Warwick, the Research Lounge offers an intimate ‘audience with’ style Q and A session offering insider info, tips and techniques from the professionals.
