Kit & Caboodle Football Art Exhibition

Quiet British Accent are pleased to announce Kit & Caboodle, their
first solo exhibition, at Core at Nolias Gallery in London from 25th to 27th April.

The art/design duo explore the unrealistic expectations of the hero and fan relationship through a visual filter of football paraphernalia in a collection of new textile art on football shirts, graphic print, mixed media and trading cards.

Building on their recent football activism print series, the couple return to the subject of football, this time highlighting connections between heroes from popular culture and football; sometimes informing them with superhero attributes, sometimes questioning them.

The textile work utilises appliquéd and embroidered vintage
football shirts.

Kit & Caboodle also reflects on mirrored attitudes behind the blank expressions on trading cards in a series of fluorescent risograph prints and art trading cards.

Slogans and mantras appear in customary sporting typography, but always hand-drawn as if created by a fan, rather than official sources, echoing fan art from school exercise books, denim jackets and the back of football shirts.
