If you could keep only one memory, what would it be? This summer the V&A presents a dramatic vision of the future through an immersive exhibition experience. Sky Arts Ignition: Memory Palace is a walk-in story that brings to life a new work of fiction by the author Hari Kunzru.
The story is set in a future London, hundreds of years after the world’s information infrastructure was wiped out by an immense magnetic storm. Technology and knowledge have been lost and nature has taken over the ruins of the old city. This narrative world is visualised through a series of commissions by 20 internationally acclaimed illustrators, graphic designers and typographers including Le Gun, Oded Ezer, Erik Kessels and Luke Pearson.
Take a walk through the exhibition to experience your own version of the story and witness the evolving relationship between word and image as they move off the page and into the gallery space.
