Chaos Theory presents a sumptuous feast of noise, art-rock and electronics from around the country.
52 COMMERCIAL ROAD
A post-rock quintet as elusive to the regular gig scene as they are brilliant. Formed in 2003, they initially began performing shows in occupied spaces, such as car showrooms, pubs, strip bars, shops and warehouses, for various political reasons and art exhibitions. With a huge underground following spanning Europe, Asia, the Americas and the UK and a third fantastic album out, we cannot wait to see them on stage again.
AT THE HEART OF IT ALL
Ethereal, atmospheric sounds that drift through a mist of industrial, post-rock and electronica. Experimental and introspective, this Bristol-based trio use nothing conventionally to create their haunting sounds. No song sounds the same twice, down to their improvisatory performances.
"Pushing the limits of avant-garde metal and unleashing a thundering behemoth of atrophied shoegaze." - Listomania Bath
LISTING SHIPS
An instrumental post-krautrock band from Oxford, obsessed with ships and the sea. Their songs use samples taken from waterways around the world and are written based upon tales of the sea. Listing Ships encompass all of the post-rock flavours that fans know and love, delicate melodies and biting riffs, but with an extra flavour of synths, electronica and inventive ideas that lift them into a sound of their own.
"Spellbindingly intense and uncompromisingly relentless."' - The 405
"Bursting with exciting ideas" - The Line Of Best Fit
DEAD RED SUN
A trio emerging from New Cross, who fuse slow, ambient build-ups followed by ecstatic crescendoes so prevalent in post-rock with high-end intricacies of math-rock, complete with samples and ethereal sounds. Their gorgeous EP 'Facility' is available on Bandcamp.
"Dead Red Sun effortlessly evoke emotions out of their instruments." - Music Liberation
