StolenSpace is proud to present ‘I thought to have been gone by now…’ a solo exhibition by London-based artist, Meryl Donoghue.

Join us as Donoghue explores the weird and the wonderful as she transforms StolenSpace Gallery into a fantastical display of exquisite strangeness. Eyeballs will peek through tree branches and skeletons will come to life as Donoghue experiments with nature and technology, summoning the faculties of sound and movement back from the dead… Donoghue’s new works indulge viewers in the astonishing beauty that accompanies the peculiar and grotesque with stunning visions of hybrid figures emerging from darkness, ethereal and dreamlike. Through delicate pencil drawings, glossy photographic prints and large scale installations, Donoghue brings to life creatures surreal and enticing, drawing viewers into her fantasy world with the lure of strange seduction.

As Donoghue’s first solo show since graduating from the Slade School of Fine Art, this exciting body of work will showcase the extraordinary versatility of the artist’s multimedia discipline. Opening on Thursday, 5th September, we invite you to join us for a cocktail reception courtesy of Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen to celebrate this hauntingly beautiful new exhibition.
