Alla and Nadia performed «Метель» together at Pushkin House, and this performance is being repeated by popular demand. There will be some changes: Alla will be reading a slightly extended version of the text; and Nadia will begin the evening with a performance of Prokofiev's much-loved Тройка.

The short story The Blizzard was written by Pushkin in 1830 during his three months’ enforced stay at the estate of Boldino near Nizhny Novgorod as a result of an outbreak of cholera - the so-called period of prolific creativity known as the “Boldino Autumn”. The Blizzard was written in one day and is one of five prose tales known as the Tales of Belkin («Повести Белкина»).
