A Baroque Comedy by Molière
Don Juan, a rich nobleman and libertine, is traveling the world with his servant Sganarelle in search of new romantic conquests. During his trip, he will meet several strange characters who will reveal his mysterious personality and his own conception of freedom.
But freedom comes with a price: how far is he willing to go ?
Censored after only four performances, this baroque play is very different from the other works of Moliere.
A lot of people recognized in the character of Don Juan his own taste for libertinism.
The cynical seducer can be either fascinating or repulsive. Now it's up to you to decide...
Clement de Dadelsen is a French director who created La Compagnie de la Flibuste in Paris ten years ago.
In Don Juan, he uses the creepy esthetic of Baroque theatre and dance to illustrate the surrealistic magic of this philosophical play.
