Experience the magic of a festive visit to Father Christmas and his huskies among the pine trees at this beautiful nature reserve. The friendly huskies look gorgeous but they're also working animals, so younger children can experience the excitement of a free husky sleigh ride (age eight and under). And this year we’ll have two husky sleighs giving more children the chance to have a ride! You can also have your photo taken with one of these cuddly dogs as a special seasonal souvenir.

Our cosy Santa’s Grotto is a log cabin set among firs and pine trees. You’ll find Father Christmas here throughout the weekend. Or why not head down to Base Camp to listen to the adventures of our Polar explorer? And join in our Winter Wetland Show, with interactive demonstrations about some of the science behind our coldest season. You can also make your own Christmas decoration from gorgeous red cranberries at our Craneberry Fest workshop.

Enjoy a wintery stroll around the scenic walkways set amongst the lakes, meadows and ponds of this 105 acre wildlife oasis. See the frost glistening on the trees and watch the ducks hunting for their own version of Christmas dinner! You can enjoy your own Christmas lunch in our Water’s Edge Café or relax over a coffee and mince pie.

In our shop there's enough choice for you to fill everyone's Christmas stocking this year. Gifts from London Wetland Centre's shop won't just delight whoever is unwrapping them on Christmas day: when you shop here you're also contributing towards WWT’s vital conservation work in the UK and around the world.
