The Crick Crack Club, and a mob of artists and performers, return to the raw and enchanting Bargehouse for a 2nd festival of fairytales for grown-ups – filling this five-storey Victorian warehouse with performance storytelling, talks, art, installations, music, drawing salons, films, rum-laced hot-chocolate and more…

Featuring some of the UK’s & Europe’s finest and most creative storytellers, this festival will journey from unbowdlerised fairytales, through Norwegian tricksters; Finnish creation myths; irritable goddesses; wild twins riding goats, and Baba Yaga, to Beelzebub getting a mythic makeover and Morgana jousting across a giant chessboard....

Trolls, angels and magicians may lurk around any corner; Transglobal Underground’s TUUP & Sheema Mukherjee will provide Christmas carols; Art Macabre’s drawing salon will be open nightly; there are promises of wolves on the fourth floor; a labyrinth in the attic; and a shrine to all gods awaits supplicants...

Wrap up warm and be prepared for unashamed magic, rich metaphor and wild storytelling, in this wintery treasure house of myth, epic and humour.

‘The most exciting alternatively Christmassy thing this December…this will stay with you long after it’s over’ Londonist
