Get into the festive mood at WWT London Wetland Centre’s wonderful winter weekend! Children will be thrilled to hop aboard for a husky sleigh ride, visit Santa in his magical grotto and enjoy a unique Wetlands Winter Show.

Take a sleigh ride with the huggable huskies: they’re lovely to look at but also working animals so younger children can experience the excitement of a husky sleigh ride. Then head over to our northern pine forest; Father Christmas will be ready to welcome families in his cosy grotto among the trees.

Meet our Polar Explorer at his Base Camp to hear tales of his icy adventures and make your own explorer’s equipment from recycled materials. You can also join in our fun Winter Wetland Show to discover more about the science behind our coldest season. Under ice and mounds of snow, even in the coldest winters, there’s life in the wetlands. Buried in mud or freezing solid, animals are surviving in amazing ways. Take part in exciting experiments in this show for the whole family to explore the science of winter.

What do cranes – the elegant wetland bird - and cranberries have in common? Find out at Craneberry Fest. Make cranberry Christmas decorations, follow the craneberry trail and enjoy treats in our restaurants. How berry exciting!

Here at Britain’s favourite nature reserve you can enjoy the Christmas celebrations among beautiful surroundings. Take a stroll among the lakes, meadows and ponds of this wonderful winter oasis.

By enjoying a festive weekend with us you're also contributing towards our vital conservation work in the UK and around the world.
