Bengal to Bethnal Green

Celebrate Victory Day with the Grand Union Orchestra - an evening of Bengali music and culture, directed by international tabla star Yousuf Ali Khan, and featuring singers Ershad Alamgir and Neha.

The show will include a short talk and discussion about this much celebrated holiday, followed by a concert with internationally renowned world and jazz musicians from the unique Grand Union Orchestra.

Musicians include Louise Elliott (flute), Lilia Iontcheva (percussion) and Gerry Hunt (guitar). The music is based on Bengali songs, both in traditional form and combined with contemporary styles reflecting the wide variety of music in London’s vibrant East End today!
