Exhibiting artists: Brian Neisn and Norbert Waysberg. Two artists are brought together to explore journeys through cities. Brian Neish’s impressive oil paintings were inspired by his travels through Italy, France and most recently the USA. Coming across weather beaten old doors, shutters and panels he became drawn to these architectural surfaces which had been painted over countless times. He calls the appearance of these debilitating effects ‘Noble Decay’ to suggest a sense of them displaying increasingly unique visual qualities over extended periods of time. Parisian born Norbert Waysberg moved to America in 2006 and his dramatic watercolours of New York capture the essence and incessant energy of the city. His current work is inspired by scenes of traffic, crowded streets, parks, city signage and perhaps the most iconic- the bridges that cross the rivers linking New York to the rest of the world.
