Chertsey Film Society Movie Night

La Grande Vadrouille is the choice fo our Christmas party night. It's a romp of a French comedy, hardly ever shown before in the UK, so here is a chance to see the sort of cinema that French people really love. La Grand Vadrouille was released in 1966 and is still one of France’s biggest box office hits of all time. It features, not only great French comic actors, but also the quintessentially English Terry-Thomas, he of the handlebar moustache and roles in British classics of the 50s and 60s.

Forget about moody French New Wave cinema, La Grande Vadrouille is simply supremely silly, rollicking, good fun. This film night will include an extended interval for Christmas nibbles.
