Pianist Pascal Amoyel performs Chopin, Liszt, Alkan and the world premiere Nimrod Borenstein's Lucilla’s beehive opus 54 No.1.

Pascal, voted “Solo Instrumental Discovery of the Year” at the Victoires de la Musique in 2005, is a prolific performer in France but rarely performs in the UK, making this concert a rare opportunity to hear him in London. Nimrod Borenstein regularly composes for, and collaborates with musicians such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Konstantin Lifschitz, and Dmitry Sitkovetsky, and his compositions are gaining an impressive worldwide reputation.

This recital is being presented with the support of the Alkan Society to mark the bicentenary of Alkan’s birth. It is also the Chopin Society's Christmas Concert, so will be followed by an extra-special seasonal finger buffet with Champagne.
