Latin Underground

The Latin Underground sextet, led by iconic conguero Robin Jones, play authentic Latin music with a strong Jazz influence. Robin has become something of a regular at the Club in recent times, due very much to public demand. Generally considered to be one of the finest percussion players around, Robin’s shaven head and distinctive earring has been seen in groups from his own “King Salsa” to those of Tito Puente, Elton John and Sade amongst many, many others. Latin Underground play classic Latin jazz tunes as well as great originals from saxophonist Nick Walker producing a truly infectious Latin vibe which is always rhythmic and exciting.
