About the event

Colombian designers and artisans are showcasing their wears in a unique five-day pop up shop in the London’s luxury fashion mecca, Kings Road, Chelsea; supported by Proexport Colombia, the Colombian government agency for the promotion of tourism, trade and Investment.

‘Pop-Up Colombia’ store will be open from 10am daily at 632 King’s Road, SW6 2DU, London from the 4th- 8th December, housing an array of Colombian designed fashion, accessories, jewellery, lighting and furniture, allowing artisans to display and sell their work to the public.

Mini workshops in Colombian literature, music, filmmaking, photography, food and Spanish language classes for children will be held across the five days. Plus, celebrate Colombia’s Christmas tradition, The Dia de las Velitas, by lighting a candle to symbolise the start of the festive month and positive energy for the New Year ahead.

The event brainchild of Amaranta Creative, a hub for female Colombian artistic talent, has collaborated with three handpicked entrepreneurs each with their own distinctive signature contemporary Colombian style. Pop-Up Colombia designers and artisans include:

OnA - OnA Women combines elegant feminine fashion with cutting edge design to create a vibrant Autumn/winter 13 range. The designer Juliana Correa captures all the magic of Colombia in each lovingly made garment.

Artisan Life - Online eco-boutique showcasing handcrafted authentic jewellery, accessories and furniture pieces, all made from natural and sustainable materials. Site curator Claudia Suarez, provides opportunity for Colombian fair trade artisans to expand beyond their local market.

La Cachaca - Alejandra Ospina rejuvenates and up-cycles everyday objects into modernistic, high-end lighting features that will become the centrepiece of any space, adding personality and colour.

Veronica Arcila is a multi-talented Colombian artist (painter, musician, and designer). Her latest body of work is inspired by the femininity and intimacy of women’s dreams.
