This year at RCC we are holding a Christmas party for all our friends and supporters. We are so happy and grateful to have collaborated with a lot of talented artists, performers, researchers, writers, directors and many more, who made our year an exciting one. Also, we are thankful to Deli Twist for all the delicious products they served at our events.

It is hard to keep the list short since there are so many people who helped us out throughout 2013 and we would like to acknowledge their efforts and dedication.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank all of you who came to our events, curious to find out more about Romanian culture and interested in making RCC a more lively, young and fresh place, where people around England (especially London) can come together and celebrate diversity.

As a thank you gift, we have invited the lovely MONOOKA’S CARAVAN to play for us, while we will be serving delicious Christmas cozonaci from DELI TWIST and good wine. Deli Twist will also have a Christmas stand, selling tasty cozonaci, fursecuri and other exquisite Romanian products.

About Monooka’s Caravan

Award-winning Romanian-born singer and puppeteer, Monooka (aka Monica Lucia Madas) performs traditional Romanian songs in collaboration with British Balkan music specialists Meg Hamilton (violin), Matt Bacon (guitar) and Paul Moylan (bass). Ottoman and Greek influences blend with soulful Jewish melody, fiery Romanian traditional and Gypsy music from the Carpathian Mountains, Walachia and Transylvania, performed with refreshing spontaneity, free improvisation, and anecdotes from life in Romania.

Monooka’s Caravan blends in singing, puppeteering and dancing in a unique way, triggering joy and deeply touching feelings during their performances. Already very popular on London’s world music scene, Monooka’s Caravan has recorded a debut album, ‘Carpathians’ and performed this year at various venues in London.

Get on your dancing shoes and bring your family & friends along to raise a glass of wine at our Christmas Party!
