A ground-breaking exhibition investigating mankind’s strange relationship to tuberculosis by Anna Dumitriu, the bioartist best known for her creations with bacteria including the ‘MRSA Quilt’ and ‘Infective Textiles Dress’. Expect exquisite embroidered textiles dyed using natural antibiotics and bacteria, and astonishing installations made with altered TB-related historical artefacts and tuberculosis DNA extracted at the laboratories of the UKCRC Modernising Medical Microbiology project. A catalogue and programme of events including a five-part Open Lab workshop accompanies the exhibition, and a major art and science symposium to mark World TB Day will be staged at Watermans on 24th March.
