Burak Delier explores the relationship between capitalism and art, balancing seriousness and wit to critique society in a way that is relevant to his native Turkey and beyond. Films and installations question the place of ‘power’ in the cultural system, and how to resist the nature of the corporate environment.
In junction with the exhibition, a series of special talks and tours will also occur. These include:
27th March 2014: A free tour of Freedom has no script with the artist, Burak Delier
10th April 2014: A talk with Professor David Bate and Layal Ftouni exploring Capitalism on Photography
24th April 2014: Join the exhibition's curator / Iniva's Director Tessa Jackson OBE for a free tour of the exhibition and find out more about the artist and the themes behind his work.
