Join us for this month’s CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle Welfare and Architecture Walk, a fun guided cultural walk for mental and physical wellbeing.

The walk will take us through the main thoroughfares, back streets and green spaces of Southwark, where we will be able to enjoy the local architecture and the hidden social history that lies behind it.

There will be talks about the Heygate Estate (below), whose neo-brutalist architecture towers over the surrounding buildings, local asylums, St Peter’s Church, designed by Sir John Soane and now providing facilities for the local community, as well as many more fascinating buildings.

CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle is a guided, stigma-busting cultural walk, designed to encourage mental and physical wellbeing, through art, exercise, humour and history. Suitable for all ages and abilities, join us for as long or as little as you like. The walk is accessible to wheelchair users and people with disabilities.

Please meet at the Maudsley Hospital in Denmark Hill at 11.45am and finish at Elephant and Castle. The walk leaders wear orange high-viz vests and rucksacks.
Call CoolTan Arts on 07985 658443 if you cannot find the walking group on the day. The walk is free but a voluntary contribution will be appreciated, all money goes to CoolTan Arts. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring your own water. All welcome!
