Ray Okpara Mix

Ejeca Mix
Supernova heads to Egg London Saturday 19th April, this time with a very special Mobilee showcase. And if that wasn’t enough, they’ve thrown Ejeca and Ralph Lawson in for good measure.

First up for the Mobilee camp is Nigerian born, Berlin based, Ray Okpara. His 2012 album, “Good Times”, set the mood for the following year as the man behind the big smile and deep hypnotic beats stormed international clubs and warehouses, and blazed summer dance floors basking in his glory.

He comes to Egg as part of the Mobilee back to back tour, having just mixed the latest ‘Back to Back’ compilation. Jam packed with upbeat party beats and stellar vibes, Ray hand picks 14 eclectic mobilee tracks, with the first CD including tracks form Anja Schneider, Pan-Pot, Re.You, Sebo K, Rodriguez Jr., Ranacat and remixes by Rampa, Andrea Oliva and Julian Jeweil. CD2 lifts the curtain, revealing 11 exclusive tracks, remakes, and a handful of collaboration tracks with the likes of Nick Curly, Nekes, Amber and Markus Homm.

Joining Ray will be electric Mobilee stalwart, Rodriguez Jr. He first came to fame as one half of French electro act The Youngsters, best known for their two studio albums and singles for Laurent Garnier’s F-Communications. Rodriguez Jr. reveals a different incarnation of Olivier Mateu’s musical psyche, encompassing shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, leftfield melodic accents and quirky pop refrains. His production studio brims with vintage synthesizers and dusty analog gear, which has in turn led him to release on such labels as Mothership, Boxer Records, Giant Wheels and of course, Mobilee. Expect an eclectic mix of house and techno drawing influence from many genres that’s perfect for peak time on the dance floor with Rodriguez performing a very special live set.

Completing the lineup for the Mobilee camp will be exciting Argentinian DJ, producer and promoter, Ranacat.

Joining the Mobilee camp is one of the most exciting stars to emerge from the UK in recent years; Ejeca. The Northern Irish producer is famed for his experiments with many genres like disco, garage, deep house and techno with his trademark vocal driven emotive sound abundant throughout his productions.Early tracks were centred on a disco/house fusion, but more recently he’s explored deeper house and techno style such as the off-kilter Frequency EP on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth imprint. He has also released on the likes of Aus Music, Deconstruction, Needwant and Moda Black. Due to the diverse nature of his work, he’s received support from the likes of Sasha, Jackmaster, Erol Alkan, Heidi and more. With another big year ahead of the talented producer, we can’t wait to have him down.

Completing the bill is Back To Basics very own, Ralph Lawson. He is also label boss of 2020 Vision Recordings, who have created a vibrant trail of releases, making it one of the best-loved and most respected imprints the industry.Having held residencies at some of the world’s most respected clubs including Back To Basics Leeds, We Love Space Ibiza and Barcelona’s The Loft, as well as regular appearances at Berlin’s Watergate and London’s Fabric, he has built a reputation as one of the worlds best house DJs.

A heavyweight lineup we can’t wait to have down, see you all on the 19th April!
