Mud, blood and stiff upper-lips! It's the History of Britain as you've never seen it before. Join the critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company for a breathless race through the centuries in this delightfully inventive open-air show that attempts to feature the entire history of Britain in under two hours. Harold II and William the Conqueror don’t see eye to eye. Henry VIII decides five marriages just isn’t enough. Queen Victoria is most certainly not amused...

This historically hysterical show is packed with songs, sketches and silliness and is suitable for all ages. In true Pantaloons tradition the show will include plenty of original live music, puppetry, audience participation and improvisation. So jump in your time machine, bring the whole family and be prepared for the theatrical event of the millennia!

The critically-acclaimed Pantaloons began life ten years ago as an open-air theatre company, busking plays for donations in parks and on the streets, where they developed an attention-grabbing, interactive and playful performance style.

This performance is part of the More London Free Festival's Free Fringe season (4-20 June) where you can enjoy an eclectic mix of free music, dance, theatre and opera.

The More London Free Festival is a free outdoor festival at The Scoop at More London on the Southbank opposite the Tower of London. From 4 June - 26 September the sunken amphitheatre, The Scoop, comes alive with a jam-packed programme of free music, dance, award-winning theatre, films and, this year for the first time, live tennis coverage from Wimbledon. There are no tickets - just turn up and enjoy the show!
