The Household Cavalry Museum is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo this summer with some stunning displays and rare exhibits including an original bugle used at Waterloo.

The bugle is permanently on display in the museum and is a must see exhibit for any visitor. The call of the bugle on which the charge of the Household Brigade was sounded by the 16-year-old John Edwards during the battle can be heard in the Waterloo section of the museum's touchscreen guide which is available to visitors free of charge and is now in eight languages.

Taking pride of place is a superb full-scale replica of Corporal Stiles with the captured eagle of the French 105th regiment. Further editions to the Collection is a hoof (on loan) of Napoleon's barb charger, Marengo which has been fashioned into a silvered table snuff box. Plus a silver watch, tunics, musket balls and even a horse's tail from the battlefields of Waterloo.
