Secret London Runs, London’s answer to the worldwide sightjogging craze, gives guided running tours, exploring London’s secret sights and hidden history. They also create unique and epic one-off mystery challenge events designed for people to get their trainers on and have a bit of fun.
To celebrate their launch, they're hosting an exclusive murder mystery event in a 16th century style underground venue in historic London Bridge.
Tickets must be bought in advance but there is a glass of bubbly included, and the chance to win a spectacular prize. The challenge will be based around a game of deduction and quick wit, as guests become detectives for the evening to hunt out and question the suspects in hiding in the area, and find out Who Killed the Bishop of Winchester.
The Bishop of Winchester has been found dead in Southwark; an area notorious for its brothels, rowdy theatres, and rough ale trade. We invite you to become a detective for the night, to help solve the crime.
Arrive between 6-8pm to receive your brief from coroners at the crime scene (The Boot and Flogger, Southwark) then head to the streets to find suspects, determine motives, and verify alibis with clues along the way, competing with the other detective teams to see who can correctly solve the crime, fastest.
Join back at the medieval crime scene at 8.45pm to hear the murderer’s sentence, find out who won, and have a free glass of bubbly to celebrate the launch of Secret London Runs in the atmospheric surroundings of a 16th century underground crime scene.
Are these running tours and events for Londoners or visitors?
Both! Sightjogging helps you make your most of your time here - whether you’re a tourist or a Londoner. Secret London Runs lets you learn about the tales that are tucked behind walls and beneath pavements, through gateways and down stairs, under rickety cobbles and surrounded by grand facades.
