Ronnie Lane's Slim Chance will be playing Nells Jazz and Blues with support from singer/songwriter Josh Osho.

Some years after the demise of the Small Faces, Ronnie Lane decided to form a band that was highly entertaining as well as being a platform for his great song-writing skills. That band was Slim Chance. Since 2010 Slim Chance, ‘reformed but unrepentant’, have forged an excellent reputation around the country playing Ronnie’s songs with passion, skill and commitment.

Original members Steve Bingham, Charlie Hart and Steve Simpson are now joined by the talented Geraint Watkins, who has played alongside Van Morrison, Carl Perkins and Nick Lowe, and ‘the new boy’ John Lingwood on drums, known for his work with Steamhammer, Elkie Books, Roger Chapman & Manfred Manns Earthband.

In 2004 the band played alongside Paul Weller, Pete Townshend, Ronnie Wood, Chris Jagger & Mick Jones to celebrate Ronnie’s music at the Albert Hall. This year they were back there to celebrate Leadbelly, along with Eric Burdon, Billy Bragg, Van Morrison and co.

As well as classics such as “Ooh La La”, “Debris”, “How Come” and “The Poacher”, the band also include many of their new songs in their sets, further establishing themselves as an entity in their own right. They have just released their latest album, 'On The Move'.

Ronnie’s vision, a magical acoustic take on rock and roll paved the way for many of today’s bands. Sadly Ronnie passed away in Colorado in 1997 but Slim Chance ensure his songs and his spirit live on.
