Folkalist, songwriter & guitarist Lewis Barfoot launches her 5 track debut EP ‘Catch Me’ at London’s most spectacular intimate live music venue. The perfect antidote to the excesses of the festive season.

“With a voice as clear as a sparkling mountain stream" C. Sloane, Fan

Half Irish, half English songbird Lewis has her voice deeply ensconced in the roots of Folk. Drawing inspiration from her Irish roots, her father’s fingerpicking guitar & 3 years singing with Gaelic acapella ensemble Rún; with whom she performed at Glastonbury, Lovebox & The Union Chapel before going solo. Fearless in her approach, her lyrics often haunt, sometimes tease and her voice transports us straight to the heart of the song’s essence with delicate & evocative storytelling, sensual guitar and the occasional playful live loop-sequence. Tonight she is joined by her full band on cello, clarinet, guitar and piano.

Lewis visited 21 countries in 11 months. She wrote a song in every country, or rather the songs wrote themselves. Sometimes they were directly inspired by the country: by the people she met, the stories and folk tales she heard. And at other times they were inspired by memories or emotions that needed to be heard in that moment. “Catch Me” is a collection of 5 of these songs taking you on a Vocal Voyage around the globe from Ireland to New Zealand, Spain to St Petersburg.

With guest Support from female musicians I Am Moon and Penniless Cove who will share personal, soul-searching lyrics from Ireland followed by the gin-soaked folk-pop melodies of Wales.
