The Bloomsbury Hotel is kicking 2016 off with a much needed detox – Bar Manager Mathieu Gaudin, formerly of Sketch, has collaborated with Henrietta Lovell founder of Rare Tea Company to create a non-alcoholic ‘Tea Total Cocktail List’. The eight new cocktails use Rare Tea Company’s finest tea leaves and skilfully blend them with the freshest ingredients in classic combinations.
All eight cocktails are innovative recipes, using rare tea leaves and fresh ingredients which are skilfully mixed by Mathieu and team. The cocktails, priced at £6.00 include the Mintea Collins, a blend of peppermint tea, heather honey, lemon and mint; On Your Todd, a refreshing mix of lemongrass tea, ginger, apple, pear and FeverTree soda water. The Jasmine Silver Tip Iced Tea, a fragrant blend of Jasmine Silver Tip Tea, Elderflower Syrup and Lemon; Hold the Hendrick’s, a concoction of White Christmas Blend, cucumber tongues and Seedlip & Tonic, which can be served warm or chilled is a mix of Seedlip, lemon verbena reduction and FeverTree Tonic Water. The Historic Isotonic is a deliciously warming blend of Rooibos Tea, seasalt, Ontario Maple syrup and lemon and The January 14th, also served warm is a blend of Rooibos, pomegranate juice, spiced blackberry & raspberry shrub, almond syrup and marmalade.
