all of this is temporary is an abstract night of interactive exhibitions and live performance that, through, the eyes of politically and culturally charged underground artists, asks the question: is capitalism working?

all of this is temporary poses the question of what it means to live in a capitalist world and whether there is a viable alternative for the future - all interpreted through installation, sculpture, moving image and performance.

As you enter the dystopian world inhabited by all of this is temporary prepare to encounter the surreal...

Two structures ominously lurk at one end of the room, representing different ends of the spectrum. As you approach them you're handed a headset. Pulling it over your ears you will become engulfed in a curious vision of the world. Stepping into the first structure and are confronted with the 'now'. Uncomfortably familiar visions of our increasingly capitalist culture loom and dance in front of you. Stepping into the second structure you are taken on a lucid journey featuring visions of a post-capitalist planet earth.

Audiences are invited to further challenge themselves to fresh perspectives through a series of live talks by journalist Mark Fisher (The Wire, New Statesman, frieze) and political theorist Alex Williams (Inventing the Future: Postcapitalism/A World Without Work.) Performances from award-winning poets Anthony Anaxagorou and Deanna Rodgers will demand further assiduity, as the audience tread the line between spectator and participant.

Featured artworks at the exhibition include LA-based Hal Hefner’s Consume series, imagery by UK based street installation artist Slinkachu, sculpture by South London duo Badrick++Rogers, gifs by Spanish born and bred A. L. Crego and artistic commentary by The White Pube. A live audio-visual performance from ODDSCENE will mark the end of the experience.

all of this is temporary is curated by CCI Collective and funded by City University London. North Four is the official media partner. All proceeds will be donated to Crisis, a charity devoted to ending homelessness.
