This December, ‘The Horse’ will be with the 10th Anniversary edition of the world-famous madcap London Pantomime Horse Race, with a day, dedicated to all things Star Wars and raising money for ‘ Help Rosie Walk’ , ‘Make a Wish UK Foundation’ plus ‘Harpenden Riding for the Disabled (RDA)’ & ‘The Running Charity’.

Pre-race ceremony:
Before the race sets off at 1 pm, the public will be treated to a Star Wars-themed ‘Pre-Race Ceremony’ live show at Devonport House, King William Walk. Featuring special guests, spectacularly silly star wars themed panto-horse dance-off contest known to many as ‘Strictly Neigh Dancing’.

The Free public open-air show will also feature an exclusive appearance from the galactic singing songstress calling herself …‘Princess Leia’, who will be performing her (soon to be) universal hit song ‘Don’t mess with this Princess’.

‘The London Humanist Choir’ will also be exclusively performing at the pre-race show with an alternative medley of specially arranged classics hits & of course, a specially written Star Wars parody song. Not to be missed! ,

& That’s not all .. We are delighted to announce a very special appearance from the 501st UK Garrison, who will be bringing along a big battalion of Stormtroopers along with a team of Jedi, Droids plus possibly a couple of Imperial Scout Troopers on Speederbikes. We can also confirm an appearance by the legendary… Dark Helmet. You have been warned.

It’s going to a magic sight, not to be missed!

The pantomime horse race:
Over 30 Panto horses, all whom will be dressed in the style of characters from the long-running saga, will be taking on an intergalactic 6 (pub) pit-stop race route, along the streets of Greenwich. Obstacles along their path may include the odd asteroid belt or two, plus the obligatory ‘Death Star’ Space-Hoppers, that the best 5 competing ‘Horses’ must all ride in their quest to be the first to the finish line.

The after-race show:
Once the race has reached its climactic finale over in Royal Hill, Greenwich, organisers will be throwing the doors open to a special 10th anniversary ‘after-race’ show, featuring live music from the UK’s leading ‘U2 Tribute’ act U2 Tribe , plus a very special surprise guest singer, will be appearing along with other special guests. A special charity auction in aid of ‘Help Rosie Walk’ will also be taking place.
