On Saturday 7th January, 2017, there will be a concert in Pimlico to celebrate the 70th birthday of British Rock legend, David Bowie.

Tribute band Bowie Oddity will be playing the greatest hits from Space Oddity right through to Lazarus. The band is comprised of professional musicians from South London, lifelong Bowie fans who were all individually inspired and influenced by the 'Starman' from Bromley.

The gig will be held in St Saviour's Church Hall, in Pimlico.

The show gives fans outside Brixton, Bromley and Beckenham, a chance to take a trip down memory lane and enjoy some of Bowie's most famous songs in one of the areas of London that he frequented regularly.

Bowie spent much of his time in the area in the mid-sixties, during the years spent performing with his band The Lower Third. Other members of the group shared a flat in Pimlico and one time manager, Ralph Horton also lived locally, at 79a Warwick Square.
