The Sunshine Lounge

Beat the inevitable winter blues and escape to sunnier climes at The Sunshine Lounge at Paddington Central next week. From Monday 23rd January, The Sunshine Lounge will provide a sanctuary offering everything you need to escape the long, cold months at Sheldon Square in Paddington.

Designed to help combat Seasonal Affective Disorder, The Sunshine Lounge will be illuminated by Lumie light therapy lamps, providing a safe and effective way to boost daytime light exposure otherwise unavailable in the early months of the year. Just as sunshine naturally makes you feel good, topping up with extra bright light in the winter months is proven to put you in a better mood and make you feel more awake. The Sunshine Lounge will also feature a Tea Corner for you to unwind in, with Revitalise and Relax blend herbal teas from Pukka.

The lounge will be open daily from 23rd January until the 3rd February 09:00 - 17:00. A SAD expert will be on hand each day from 11:30 - 14:30 to explain the disorder and to talk about how light therapy can help to combat it.
