Hackney Children's Theatre Variety Spectacular

Hackney Children’s Theatre London newest independent children’s theatre project present their "Variety Spectacular”. An annual family variety show brought to Hackney as a shiny antidote to grey January.

The Variety show brings together a daring fun mix of professional acts to the Hackney venue, recently host to Robbie Williams, Cold Play, Emeli Sande.

Each year the Variety show has a different theme, 2017’s theme is Brave .The show will present daring acts of bravery as well as asking of the audience what is brave and how to be it. An interval activity for the children will lead to a brave performance by the participants joining the professional line up .

The show is always hosted by an MC /hostess who cajoles and teases the appreciative audience , participation by the young children is positively encouraged. Hackney Children’s Theatre Variety spectacular is a playful fun outing for the whole family and viewing is relaxed with no blackout, which has been likened to street theatre indoors.

The show runs in total for 70 mins +_with a 20 minute interval. Interval activity is as important as onstage performance with craft and play options available. The vast space of St Johns and relaxed family friendly format includes an escape zone for wriggling toddlers .
