Emily and Liam are finishing their final year at university. As close friends with a clear idea of what they want from their relationships and careers, both try to work out where they fit in the world, often through conversations fuelled by debate.
But when they follow their own paths in journalism and advertising, both are faced with challenges that fracture their careers and relationship. As they overcome their insecurities, they also begin to accept and understand each other.
Examining gender inequality from the perspective of both men and women, Why Not Us? is a multidisciplinary piece of theatre that questions how we view relationships, work and the media.
