Lauderdale House are happy to announce a new Artists Residence programme featuring The Moeran Quartet and Meritus Collection. These groups of musicians have been working together in different combinations over the past few years and they will perform singly and together over the coming year.

The Moeran Quartet: The Moeran Quartet take their name from the composer Ernest John Moeran (1894 – 1950), a British composers, who was known for the collecting of Norfolk folk songs and his talent for the lyrical capturing of Britain and Ireland’s rural landscapes.

The four members of the quartet are all experienced chamber musicians with a passion for the championing of British music. They lead diverse and varied musical careers playing regularly with orchestras such as the Hanover Band, Urban Soul Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Pauls and Opera Holland Park. Between them they have studied at the Royal Academy of Music, Trinity Laban Conservatoire and Royal College of Music.
