Join Wimbledon Guild for this fascinating trip to Bethlem Museum of the Mind in Beckenham.

The trip is the latest in the social welfare charity’s Ageing Well activities programme which helps older people stay active and independent.
Bethlem Royal Hospital was founded in 1247 and was the first institution in the UK to specialise in the care of the mentally ill.

Situated within the hospital grounds, in a stunning Art Deco building, Bethlem Museum of the Mind was formally opened by artist Grayson Perry in March 2015.

The museum cares for an internationally renowned collection of archives, art and historic objects, and records the lives, experience and celebrates the achievements of people with mental health problems.

Return travel to Wimbledon Guild's Worple Road HQ and a tour of the museum is included in the cost.

The charity helps local people lead a better life by tackling poverty, supporting ageing and encouraging mental well-being.
