Acoustic Sunday is back, 5th March at The Crypt Café, De Beauvoir, Hackney with an array of freshly-pruned musical talent for your aural pleasure, that’ll put the spring back in your step in no time at all!

With the cold dark winter months firmly behind us, Acoustic Sunday heralds in the new season with a burgeoning hot-bed of the finest bands, solo performers and street food, with budding pop-up sensation 2 Fingers - The Ultimate Fish Finger Sandwich Experience.

First up, the Open-mic Sessions followed by performances from ‘groove based R&B’ singer-songwriter and Open Mic UK finalist George Pelham. Also, Cecil - regionally championed by BBC Introducing pieces together adolescent lyrics delivering captivating performances.

Winner of the Shure Song-writing Award, judged by Frank Turner, U.R.I will be adding an electronic twist to a delicate indie-rock folk sound, and Jimmy Grayburn, folk singer-songwriter and banjo player, blends traditional folk with elements of nu-folk.

Chike Newman makes his Acoustic Sunday debut, combining a beautiful, captivating voice with the ability to soulfully play the guitar as a percussive instrument, whilst indie-folk duo Sandtimer make a welcome return with a dose of intricate guitar lines and tight vocal harmonies.
Jess Gould joins us as your ‘master of ceremonies’ to steer you through the afternoon with sporadic offerings of irony clad wit and humour.

Acoustic Sunday’s Sensibly Priced Pop-Up Bar will be serving a selection of local craft beers, fine wines and tipples, including the much revered ‘home-brew’ - home-made Ginger Beer with fair-trade lemons and fiery fresh root ginger.

Run entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers, Acoustic Sunday provides an essential platform for media training and creative opportunities for young people in the community - an initiative by SoundAdviceUK supporting the use of live music and media to celebrate diversity whilst creating more connected communities.

Spring has sprung so why not join us for a blooming marvellous time at one of London’s finest live music events, as Acoustic Sunday provides you with the essential soundtrack to welcome back the springtime air.
