The Guildhall School and Tower Bridge present Terra Incognita - Here be Dragons, a site-specific light and sound installation in the unique setting of the Bascule Chamber of Tower Bridge.

These specially-commissioned new works created by artists from the Guildhall School take inspiration from the atmospheric Bascule Chamber itself – a secret space hidden in the depths of the world’s most famous bridge. The Chamber is the operational area that houses the Bridge's huge counterweights used during Bridge Lifts. When the Bridge is at rest, this huge brick-lined space stands empty: a dramatic, subterranean Victorian space normally out of bounds for everyday visitors.

This unique experience combining light, sound, and projected imagery challenges the audience to look beyond the surface. Audiences are invited to ‘review’ and ‘re-evaluate’ their relationship with the city and their perception of its history and character.

If you fancy immersing yourself in this exclusive performance, then book your tickets now. Tickets are extremely limited due to the capacity of the Bascule Chamber.
