Play & Create: Movement for 8-11s

Held in our Drawing Studio, this 4 day course offers children fun and innovative ways of engaging with art in a playful, experimental setting. Using movement, gesture and drawing, participants will engage with themes from the current exhibition, In the Face of Overwhelming Forces by Joachim Koester. During the course we will imagine future cities, using dance and sound to communicate our surroundings and make immersive dens to parade throughout the galleries. The week will conclude in an exhibition of works for parents and carers.

Artist Nicole Morris will lead this course. Nicole completed her MA in Sculpture at the Slade School of Art in 2011 and primarily works in video and sculpture. Recent solo exhibitions include The National Gallery, Prague (2016) and a forthcoming show at Space In Between, London (2017).
