Live music performance by ENSEMBLE X.Y.

Leyden Gallery are proud to present a special musical evening with contemporary classical musicians from Ensemble x.y.

Ensemble x.y are an international ensemble that commission and perform new music in a flexible and ever-changing line-up. Organised without traditional roles or hierarchies, Ensemble x.y develops its thematically-charged programmes according to the taste and interest of its core players, as well as the developing working relationships between resident composers and instrumentalists.

The ensemble's flexibility in form and personnel allows members to actively experiment with new sounds, aesthetics, and performance options in order to create compelling and unique new works.

Ensemble x.y will perform:

Selected Fluxus works for performers, objects and audience
Works by Kaija Saariaho, John Cage, Joss Smith and others
