The Willesden Green Wassail was established in 2010.
We are an annual, free, family-friendly, walking, talking, rhyming, singing, shouting community-created celebration of the independent spirits and voices of Willesden Green, joined by artists from across London.
We are a twist on the ancient Wassail festival, celebrated around apple trees in midwinter.
We are low on apple trees in Willesden, but we have many independent shopkeepers, our urban equivalent (!), who we will meet and serenade on our walk down the street.
We will begin promptly at 2.30pm at WILLESDEN GREEN TUBE, walk down to the LIBRARY, and end up back at the latest great addition to our neighbourhood TONE COFFEE SHOP for hot drinks, snacks, and more performances.
