2017 is a very special year for Harrow’s longest-established choir as it celebrates 80 years of high-quality music-making. This season also marks 25 years under the baton of Director of Music, Simon Williams.
Following a sell-out Christmas concert the 90-strong choir is gearing up for the highlight of its jubilee season at Harrow School on 1st April. To crown HCS’s 80th year, Simon Williams has chosen Handel’s evergreen masterpiece Messiah in which the choir will be accompanied on period instruments by the Charivari Agréable Orchestra and, as usual, joined by some of the country’s leading professional soloists.
