Ladies and gents! Chaos Theory presents a one-off special event packed with live music, film, spoken word, card games and other tricks, all draped in a haze of noir, blues, jazz and rock 'n' roll. Come dressed in your finest or raggiest and enjoy an EP launch by one of the first bands they ever worked with!

There will be an early opening treat for all of those in the café out front before the main performances begin...

Georges Kaplan Presents... with actor Phil Philmar: spoken word narratives of Georges with musical accompaniment and film projections. We will screen 'Can't Say It Is 'Cause it Ain't' (90 seconds) and 'How it All Began' (2:41) followed by a montage of old films. There will be covers of Twin Peaks songs for the second half of this set.

The EP will be sold as download codes on custom-made playing cards.

Jonny Halifax and The Howling Truth

Rock 'n' roll punk blues filtered through a psychedelic swamp.

Jonny Halifax (vocals, lap steel, harmonica, rhythm machine) and musical partner Marvin (illustrator and painter Martin Kingdom, who tackles guitar and percussion) conjure an unholy brew of Suicide, Captain Beefheart and sonic drone.

They've collaborated with Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood, and have supported or toured with The Jim Jones Revue, Bob Log III, The Magic Band, Henry's Funeral Shoe, Orange Goblin, HECK, Endless Boogie, Bad Guys, THE CULT OF DOM KELLER and more. Having been well received at festivals ranging between Freakshow Fest (France), Glastonbury, Deep Blues Festival (US), Nuits De’ L’Alliagateur (France) Blues Rules (Switzerland), Cockroach Fest (Finland), Bari Avant Blues Fest (Italy), Körpehölafestival (Sweden), they will appeal to anyone with taste.

Described as akin to prime Black Sabbath re-tooling the Delta blues in a deserted Black Country steelworks, with Hammer horror appeal, expect murky scuzz and catchy riffs.

"Incredibly enjoyable" - MetalRecusants

Georges Kaplan Presents... (EP launch)

A musical duo hailing from London's gnarled and twisting streets, who in all things take their cue from their leader Georges Kaplan.

Careering across the boundaries of blues, jazz, noir and punk, this piano and saxophone duo create a delightfully seedy atmosphere, calling back to the time of steamy alleys and underground hideaways.

One of the first bands to play at The Jazz Market in 2010, it will be great to see them launch their new EP '4 Card Trick' tonight.

Snack Family

This trio have been creating an unapologetic and relentlessly driving sound since 2011, who've recently been joined by Adam Betts (Three Trapped Tigers) on drums.

Their sound of timeless, menacing power is a rare combination of time-honoured rock 'n' roll antics, wholesome illustrative songwriting and blinding musicianship. Above all it is fun, riotous and nudity-inducing, low-frequency music that gets right back to the heartlands, the heart and soul and meat of the matter. Music for the times we're sweating through.

Picking up critical acclaim from the likes of The Quietus, Les InRocks, NME, Kerrang!, Noisey by Vice and countless others; the trio have been creating their unapologetic, driving sound since 2011.

Having released two EPs: 'Belly' and 'Pokie Eye' in 2014; Snack Family have toured the UK and shared bills with the likes of Nissenenmondai, Gallon Drunk, Evil Blizzard, The Cesarians, HOT HEAD SHOW, COWTOWN, Peluché, Eagulls, Dead Rider, Get the Blessing and many others; and appeared at Wickerman, Threadfest, Match & Fuse and Larmer Tree festivals.

Snack Family have recently finished their debut full length album: 'Bunny'; which is hoped for a 2017 release.

Their raw, monster trucking, sexy terrain captures the spirit of Captain Beefheart, Muddy Waters and Alber
