Get the Trend workshop Brixton

With style savvy residents of the capital gearing up for London Fashion Week later this month, Love Your Clothes and Barnardo’s are partnering with Charity Fashion Live to help Londoners achieve the latest looks for less with free upcycling and customization workshops across the city.

The ‘Get the Trend’ workshops will give people the opportunity to transform something they pick up for a bargain into a unique item inspired by the looks of London Fashion Week, as well as promote the importance of sustainable shopping.

Workshop attendees will learn simple skills that will help them customize an item of clothing found in a Barnardo’s store to recreate key looks from the catwalk, as identified by top stylist and founder of Charity Fashion Live, Emma Slade Edmondson.

The drop-in workshops will take place in Marylebone, Brixton and Crouch End during February and March, with each one focusing on a different theme or skill.

The Brixton event on 4th March will demonstrate how to dress up denim and teach skills like free machining style embroidery and patching.
