Photographic Studio

At a time when very few professional photographic portrait studios still exist, the Photographic Studio project aims to recreate and commemorate the institution of the local portrait studio.

UAL students, staff and both new and old residents of the Elephant and Castle community are invited to part in Photographic Studio. Traditional wet collodion photographic techniques will take place in the LCC Studio in Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre (1st Floor), with portrait images taken, developed and exhibited on site.

In this collaborative space, those at the heart of the Elephant and Castle community will come together to create a new photographic archive of portraits documenting the changing landscape of the local area, as it continues to go through regeneration.
