This fantastic "Groove" gig features the band of guitarist Bobby Quigley (co-leader of the Carl Hudson Groove Nights), a formidable young musician who includes work with the likes of Pete Ray Biggin, Imaani and Katie Leone on an impressive cv. The music will be an infectious blend of Groove and Jazz featuring a selection of classic groove standards with the occasional "Groove" original thrown in for good measure. As would be expected, the rest of the band is made up of some of the finest musicians on the scene, the remarkable Ross Stanley (Deodato, Simply Red) on keyboards, groove powerhouse Neville Malcolm on bass and the terrific Alex Torjussen (Rumer, Will Young) on drums. Bobby's special guests this evening will be singers Noel McCalla and Holly Petrie. Noel first came to prominence in the mid 80’s with the seminal Jazz/funk band Morrisey/Mullen and from the early 90’s, for more than 19 years, Noel’s searing, soulful vocals were featured with the iconic Manfred Mann’s “Earth Band”. Holly has been a busy studio and backing singer for more than 10 years, working with the likes of Jess Glynne, Rod Temperton, Cee Lo Green, Omar, Beverly Knight, Sugababes, Kim Wilde and Scouting For Girls. She includes performances at the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, Shepherds Bush Empire and Hammersmith Apollo and has been a vocal tutor at London’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance for more than 2 years. The music is a mix of really great classic groove standards with the occasional high-class groove original, performed by one of the best bands around. Be sure to attend what promises to be a “Groove” extravaganza.

“McCalla…spine tingling” Guardian; "Holly Petrie...amazing" Pete Ray Biggin
